Obama….leader or victim?

Obama entered office with a Democrat congress and guided us like a bully. He rammed Obama Care down our throat which has since been examined by his own team to have serious flaws and will be examined by the Supreme Court to see if it is even constitutional. He led us like a crazed investor into the "green energy maze" and bungled loans to questionable companies like Solyndra which has already cost the tax payers millions and now we are paying millions more for the out of work victims from that poorly thought out investment. Obama with his control of congress for the first two years spent a trillion dollars on infrastructure and bailouts (like General Motors and Chrysler) and still leaving us at this time with 9% unemployment…...and even worse a 100% debt to GDP ratio. Our chances of regaining tax payer billions on the car companies is looking extremely weak especially as the EU economy collapses from burdens of entitlement spending, debt and high taxes. GM sells a great number of cars in the EU and needs to keep doing that to stay profitable after the massive US taxpayer bailout.

Voter outrage took complete control of Congress away from Obama one year ago. Now, the "want to be leader" stands on the side lines and tells congress to work it out. When no progress is made on the economy, Obama blames the Republicans with class warfare charges and defends the Democrats and Left with their "tax the rich or no deal" partisan stand.

During the first two years when Obama led with maximum power…..he bungled!

And now, when there was a chance to show some compromise leadership, what does Obama do?

With a stroke of the pen he could have raised "bravos" from everyone except the "extreme environmentalists" who would sell out the human race for an endangered rat! He could have signed the Keystone Pipeline and shown true by-partisan leadership!

A good leader must bolster confidence and give hope to large segments of the American society and Obama could have accomplished this with one stroke of his pen! Here would have been the positive outcome from competent leadership….

Obama would have created 20,000 union jobs instantly and many more after the completion of the pipeline. He would have expanded the partnership with our Canadian friends by increasing our oil reserves while assuring us that Canada’s fossil fuels would not go to China to be used with limited environmental concerns. He would also demonstrate that he could make wise investments in needed fossil energy as he continues his more risky support for green energy! He could have shown us all in a small way that he cares about and understands the need for energy independence until new forms of energy are perfected. And it wouldn’t cost a thing because the Pipeline will more likely than anything he has done to bring tax income and profits to our suffering economy! There are too many uses for oil in every world economy, and always will be, for Obama too play politics with this one issue…..but he did!

On a perfect compromise moment, Obama chose "no we can’t!" When he could have encouraged most of us with ""yes we can," he continues to stumble and blame others!

Obama is not a leader. He is a victim of his socialist ideology and believing that bullying those who disagree with him is quality leadership!

I was ready to stand up praise Obama for leadership....

I sincerely doubt that, TUL. I read your profile and had hoped that there might be a chance for fairness; what I encountered, instead, was more of the Roger Ailes arguments of pathological need for "convenient truth."

Sure, Obama pushed health care; that was his signature agenda and he made no illusions to the contrary. He put out his hand, on several occasions to the GOP only to be rebuffed in the rudest ways. He was opposed to the mandate, which is the GOP, signature, hate message; the only reason why there IS a mandate in the bill is because the GOP refused to show up at all. "The Dems were not cooperative!" So what?! Was the GOP any more cooperative from 1995 through 2006 or after 2010? Certainly not!

You complain about the millions lost to Solyndra, which is attributable to Obama, but what of the billions lost to AIG, which is attributable to Bush and Congressional GOP? I can hardly wait to hear the excuse du jour for this one!

Voter outrage took control (never complete...the Dems are too damned dysfunctional for that to ever happen) from the Dems, not Obama! He still had, he still has, an approval rating (less than 50%, granted, but) multiples of Congress...including, and especially the GOP!

I fault Obama for a lack of leadership also, but for far different reasons than you, TUL. (Ironically, my arguments are logical whereas I see no logic, but hatred, in your arguments.) Since the Congress refused to "work and play well with others", I would have led by Executive Order rather than relying upon a Do-Nothing Congress to do nothing, completely. Hell, it would take a Super Committee six months of heated debate and they still couldn't decide if the dressing should on the salad or on the side for lunch! There never would have been a funding showdown nightmare, which may have well prevented the Credit Downgrade. Still, you can't find fault in the GOP, can you, TUL?

So, finally, he caves to his fractured party, fractured by the GOP who are supposed to be our saviors, who sold out our economy for thirty pieces of silver in order to prove that "business polices itself" nonsense, on the pipeline. I agree with you on this one; we should have started the pipeline. I don't give a rat's ass about the purple spotted ping pong ball as long as there are still ping pong balls in nature to enjoy; but if the GOP and Dems in Congress could have behaved like "Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen" or "Honorable" this or that, it may not have come to this, we may not have 9% unemployment, a terribly fragile recovery (and economy), and confidence from the public in their less than honorable, so-called, leaders!

I read your profile and thought that there might be an actual, Barry Goldwater style, conservative left out there; what I found was a neo-conservative in conservative clothes. My bad.

I am a Goldwater style of Conservative.........even though you can't figure that out. Out side of your rambling rhetoric and opinions which I respectively disagree with, at least you agreed with the real point of my post about the pipeline. You say my arguments are hateful and yours are logical....your's just sound grumpy to me. So we both wanted to pipeline for different reasons. Obama bungled this one!

Your post had less to do with the pipeline than it did of hating Obama. This is why I doubted that you would ever "stand up and praise" him. I rebutted your arguments; if you want to call what you say "logic" while accusing me of "rambling rhetoric" I will allow you to be that delusional; after all that is what Conservatives do best these days. Which is why I will never vote for a conservative again.

Spoken like a true lost mind that simply hates conservatives! I wouldn't have expected more from you. I had already prepared by praise for Obama if he had done the right thing and not palyed partisan politics....and that is the point of my article.
